After finding out the people Midoriya worked beside for years aren't who he thinks, he runs. With a broken heart, he heads to the States, taking on a mission that was only meant to relocate him for a few months. However, when the mission was done, he decided to stay. He built a new life, met new people, had a reason to keep going. Meanwhile, everyone he left behind in Japan is stuck. Stuck in a job they don't like, stuck at the bottom, stuck at All Might's agency, not doing anything they thought they would be doing as heroes. Nezu and the teachers did nothing to alleviate the stress of constant bullying nor when he was cleared of the accusations of being a traitor, they all sat back and watched. This year Nezu decided to bring back the hero vs villain wargame, and with everyone against him he will be the villain they accused him of. Inmate 0001 has been in prison for a long time. His name is Izuku Midoriya, he did a terrible crime years ago he has already served almost triple the average life sentence yet he is still there. When given the chance to join a UA hero course class at the start of the academic year he takes it. Now free see how the protagonist adapts to the new world and its rather idiotic heroes and heroes in training. How will he face phantoms of the past? I do not own My hero academia, only the plot. After being framed for a crime he didn't commit Izuku Midorya is betrayed by all but one of his friends, his teachers and his own mother. After being expelled from UA and sent to Tartarus all the while the good name he made for himself is dragged through the mud, that is until a video surfaced showing the league of villains bragging about how they were responsible for the crime and how easily the heroes turned on one of their own, further denting society's trust in the heroes. With his dreams shattered and his future seeming to be lost, Izuku Midoriya runs. He ran away from police custody before they even knew what to do with him and lived off the streets. He didn't know what to do. His mother dead and his source of stability gone, he looses his will to anything but keep fighting. Most people would turn to villainy after this, always searching with vengeance and an anger that could never be tamed. But Izuku isn't most people. He couldn't bring himself to hurt people so he decided he'd be a hero, just not by title. His heart has always longed to save those in need, after all.
