In 1941, Terezin was a concentration camp for gifted children to act as propaganda to the German citizens. Ela Hellerova was thirteen years old when she entered the ghetto after horrible tragedies ruined her young life. But with the help of a courageous teacher and a something she has never had before, a friend, Ela is able to let her heart and mind free. Based off the play "I Never Saw Another Butterfly."
