At his graduation he is approached by an older gentleman and offered a job in his small practice at his hometown by the sea. Jin turns him down politely and tells him that he has plans to follow in his father's footsteps. The old man sadly returns home alone. Years later, Jin is passed over for a promotion and when he asks why, he is told he needs to work on his bedside manner. And perhaps work as a general practitioner for a year and try again later. He then decides to take the older man's job offer and travels to the small town. Where his life takes unexpected turns.
