Here We Lie

Jayden Flores is a very stubborn person. He struggles to know what he truly feels toward a topic or other people. But he's set on one thing, he hates Leonel Cruz.

Leonel Cruz is the golden boy of his school. Everyone either loves him or wants to be him. He's rarely ever treated harshly by his peers, teachers, friends, or even family. But that quickly changes when he first interacts with Jayden Flores, the person who hates him, the same person he also hates.

"Look at us," Leo spoke, his voice nearly sounding angelic as he spoke. I looked over at him, looking just as angelic as he sounded. The sun's beams fell upon him, casting a dark shadow on the side the sun didn't care for.

"We've come so far. We started off hating each other, not even able to speak to each other without arguing," he continued, a smile on his face as he looked up at the sky. I copied his actions and looked up into the sky, the sun nearly blinding me.

I smiled at the feeling of Leo wrapping his fingers around mine, our hands holding each other in a loose enough grip but still tight, ensuring the other's safety.

"Here we lie, loving one another to the point we got past that," he was now looking at me, and I returned the lovely gaze. He was right, I loved him and he loved me.
