Ester is a typical 23 year-old native Miamian. She loves going to the beach, just not South Beach, with her family. She loves going on fun adventures with her best friend Corinna and romantic date nights with her boyfriend Mathias. Her life was perfect.
Until the ban that caused her parents to become skittish and when the Avernians landed 5 years ago and made her parents become withdrawn. The Avernians brought healing and prosperity to the world and it seemed like plagues and wars were a thing of the past. Mysteriously, a third of the world's population vanished in a blink of an eye.
