Jane Moore has just up and moved her entire life to Brandy, a small town in Wyoming with a population of less than a thousand residents, just to become a stable worker at a slowly dying horse ranch. With a need for slower living and her passion for animals, not to mention free housing on the acreage, the girl sees this as the perfect opportunity to start over.
    
    That is, until she meets Pedro, one of the other ranch hands. Only working nights and not allowing anyone near his horse, the man is withdrawn, rather gruff, and ultimately odd.
    
    With her interest piqued into finding out why the man acts the way he does, as well as what he does at night that causes so much commotion, Jane battles between simply doing her job to secure her living and getting to know the man that is seemingly more dangerous than she expects.
