What if Aria Draxum wasn't Aria Draxum? In this universe, Aria has a different last name: O'Neil. Years ago, she was taken in by April's dad after being randomly left on his and April's doorstep mere months before he died. Since then, they've been practically attached at the hip, and recently, April's been hot on the trail of a recent crime wave. One night, when the source of that crime holds her and Aria hostage in a subway, the two sisters are saved by four walking, talking turtles. Will complications arise that none of them can fix? A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved.
