This is the first collection of poems that my great grandma wrote, I never knew her, she passed before I was born. There are two booklets of poems that she authored, the second of which is dated 1995, I believe the first was printed a couple of years before. Below is the foreword to the second book.

"For a number of years I have been scribbling down my thoughts and feelings in verse.

After several operations over the years and recent major surgery I decided to have these poems printed in a small booklet and sell them to make a contribution to Staunton Harold Hospice and Ashby Cottage Hospital.

So with the help and encouragement of Moira Replan, I went ahead, with the hope that this second edition will sell as well as the first."

- Ruby N Ramsell

The original dedication was to Mavis and Eileen. She also drew artwork for the front covers of the two booklets that I may include in a later edition.

The booklets were discovered in the attic and I wanted to do something with them, so here they are digitally with almost no modification. Poetry interests me and I hope to produce some of my work like she did in a book in the future.

I hope you enjoy.
