It's the beginning of the second semester, and so far the school year has sucked.
Elliot, deemed the school emo, is a loner. He's depressed and obsessed with dark poetry. Nobody seems to get him. Add in his rough home life, it's a bit of a disaster mental health wise.
That is, until he runs into the new guy who just transferred. Literally.
Due to family complications, Aiden had moved across the province where he now has to start all over again. He is also hoping to forget a recently failed friendship, one which affected him deeply. Elliot and Aiden get paired up for an art project, and the two Alternative losers quickly become close. Together they rule the school (or just the quiet part of the library) and connect through their similar interests and humour.
But what happens when the friendship gets too deep?
What happens if... it turns into something else?
Told from both POV's, it's a story about friendship, love, mental health, growing up, being true to yourself, and finding your people. (and Emo songs)
