"I want divorce." Prerna declared in her hoarse voice and anyone could tell that she was crying.

"What?" Kabeer asked in confusion but deep inside he was not confused even a bit.

"You were dying to divorce me right? Then now I'm ready, I want divorce." Prerna said and sobbed out. The pain she was feeling in her heart was too much to handle.

"Stop joking around we are not getting divorce." Kabeer said unsure of his words because the determination in her eyes was telling him that she is serious.

Prerna placed divorce papers in his hands with her signature already on it. The land under his feet slipped because he never thought that it could be true. The words he said in anger to her took that much toll on her that now she is ready to make them true. He gazed in her tear filled eyes and he shook his head in denial.

"No." he whispered almost inaudibly. Now all he was praying that he would be sleeping and all this is just a nightmare.
