'He'll stop at nothing to claim her, bending the very fabric of reality if he must, until she belongs to him completely.'
"Sunshine, you're in my veins like a pretty poison."

My hands flew to my ears as the bullet whizzed past, its sharp report echoing through the grand mansion.
"Ah!" a piercing scream erupted behind me.
I stood frozen and stared blankly at the man before me, his expression utterly devoid of emotion, a stark contrast to the chaos surrounding us. He was unrecognisable, a stranger disguising as someone I once knew.
With trembling steps I turned, a strangled gasp escaping my lips as tears streamed down my cheeks. I yearned to scream but my voice betrayed me. All I felt was a numbing coldness that enveloped my entire being.
On the floor lay my best friend, the bullet having torn through her forhead, splitting it in two, and a crimson pool spreading around her.
My vulnerability gave way to something darker, something more profound-rage.
I despise him. I DESPISE HIM WITH EVERY FIBRE OF MYSELF.
I froze at his voice; cold yet commanding, "You're mine, love. Whether you accept it willingly or not, rest assured I'll claim you. And should anyone dare to disrupt my plans, I'll dismantle them without hesitation."
