Will visibly winced, wondering if this was another one of his nightmarish sometimes-wet dreams that he had become accustomed to having after an incident too many... Only this time more festive, and therefore certainly more mortifyingly awkward, and just plain wrong.
He dug his nails into his palm discreetly to make sure, and it was only when he was fairly certain that it wasn't in fact a dream, that he spoke.
"What the actual fuck?"

I looked at his lips; they look so soft, pink, and yummy. He continued leaning his eyes darted between my eyes and lips. When our noses touched, my eyes automatically closed, and I felt his breath on my lips. Is this happening? Are we going to kiss? Usually, people Carol's age are getting married, buying their first house, getting their first pet, etc. Her younger sister's doing all that. Good for her right? And she's doing it with Carol's ex.
