Alec Hardy, Jr. the equally infamous trans son of DI Alec Hardy, is dropped off in the seaside Dorset town of Broadchurch, where his father works. A pregnant, alone, and scared teenager, wanders into the hotel tavern where his father is staying, whilst he's working the case of a young local boy's murder. The teen goes through trials and tribulations, with his father almost dying due to his heart condition and undergoing a risky surgery to install a pacemaker, and giving birth.
