You know that windin' road that leads past the treeline and up the mountain? Y'know, the one that you always drive past on yer way to work or glance at as you ride past on the school bus. You've seen the beginnin' of that road, but you've never seen where it goes, what it leads to, who's up there. You always wonder, yet you never muster the courage to act on yer curiosity...
Well, I've lived on this old street for ages now. Built the house here myself with nothin' but blood, sweat, an' tears. Lived here with two people I loved very much. I was happy in this house at one point. But it didn't last for all that long. Funny how life does that; gives you a glimpse o' happiness, a pure and wholesome brand o' wonderful bliss...then it takes it all away in the blink of an eye.
No one travels down this dead-end road anymore; they all know better. I couldn't 'member the last time I'd had a visitor. I been alone here for so long, but I don't feel lonely no more. Jus' empty. Numb, in a way. I'd sit in my chair, jus' waitin' fer the day that the Reaper would appear beside me and place that bony hand o' his on my shoulder and laid that scythe at my throat...well, at least, I did...

"Mommy?" I looked up from her arms and into her smile. "Yes, my little light?" She replied back, with a curious grin. Nothing but love, gentleness, and kind warmth on her sweet face. Six year old me stared into her glistening eyes. Eyes that could melt glaciers. Those eyes. "What is it my love?" She questioned again with an angelic smile. That damn smile. The sudden breeze pushed the windows to slam open against the walls, as the curtains flew up and the rose candle was blown out. The night crept in, invading my bedroom. My mother gasped with a frightened jump and called out my name. Frantically, she flipped the bedside lamp on when she heard no reply. Panic washed over her face as she kneeled beside her sweet little girl, now covered in a blood stained night gown, black eye and bloody lip. "Why did you let him hurt me, mommy?" My mother gasped and fell back onto her hands. Terrified, she stood and with no hesitation, made a dash for the door, leaving her baby girl in the dark corner. Her panicked attempt to leave the room came to a complete stop as she came to face the full length mirror. She stared back in horror, only it wasn't her looking back at her reflection. It was me -Kali emerges from her past that has left every piece of her in ruins. Her life was left shattered into a million pieces. The boy who was trying to help this poor soul had approached a few paces. His voice was now quieter, more soft, and still caring. The boy at the bridge took a moment to think, then nodded his approval. The savior gently took the boy's hands delicately in his own and gently pulled the boy back. Well, less of a pull and more of a gentle suggestion. It worked and the boy stumbled down off of the edge. The boy started to cry. How could he be so weak that a boy, the same age as him, who seemed to have the same ideas and hatred toward himself as he, could keep him from stepping off? The other simply gently led him to his vehicle and took out a water bottle out of the backseat. The boy took it and looked at it suspiciously. "It's untampered, look, it's still sealed." Upon seeing this, the boy opened it and took a few sips of water. "Thank you. For the water." The savior smiled. "It's nothing much." He shrugged. "Have a phone? If you want I can put my number in and then you'll always be able to tell someone if you're having a pissy day." Surprisingly enough, the boy agreed. . They would both be around twenty.Complete

"She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me.
