Alina, the woman lost her husband, she lost her husband to the capitol. All the pain that she went through was all for naught, how could she live without the foundation of her being ceasing to exist? Finnick would have thought she was foolish, living in utter grief not accepting and moving on.
Here she stands as she held the rope taking a deep breath getting ready to join her love, funny really because this exact rope is tied in a knot taught to her by Finnick, not to take her own life but to survive.
She expected to go to hell or heaven, wherever fate lead her to, but certainly not in world without Finnick.
But she awoke, crying, her eyes seeing a small hand and her parent's joyful smiles, she was confused thinking she must've died by now.
Fate must be playing with her, giving her another chance in living.
