Murphy has never been particularly satisfied with her life. Her mother is a UC scientist, her father is a UC diplomat, and that came with baggage all on its own. Secret government experiments on her biology have altered her for life. Murphy was enlisted into the Vanguard as soon as she turned 18, and has been stuck in the system for 10 years, working dangerous deep-cover jobs.

After a particularly difficult day, she gets a call from her mother. She and an old colleague are to infiltrate a secret Freestar base in the Delta Pavonis System. When the two get word that something strange is happening, will Murphy be able to accept her new life path? Will she be able to open up to a particular explorers group? Most importantly, will she be able to learn how to love again?

Sam Coe x FemOC fanfiction is based in the Bethesda Studio universe of Starfield. Most characters, planets, and some events belong to Bethesda.
