16 year old Amy Fleming, just lost her mother to a car accident she thinks is her fault. Amy is hospitalized from the car accident and she doesn't know about her mothers passing. A couple weeks later, she goes home to her grandpa Jack, who is having a hard time keeping up with the bills to keep his ranch. Lou, Amy's sister, who is home for the passing of her mother, came back home from New York to help with bills. It turn out that before their mother died, she decided to hire a young man, about 18 years old, who is on probation, to help out on their ranch as community service. As Ty and Amy grow closer, Ty helps Amy with her horse training! Amy faces a lot of pressure due to her mothers gift she inherited. Amy is no ordinary girl. She can talk to horses. Not a horse whisper but she can sense what they want. Amy works with horses throughout her life but she faces trouble due to a rescue horse, Spartan, that was in the accident. And her father, who hasn't been around.
