It's been two months since the remaining 200 immunes left through the flat trans to the untouched part of the earth. Yet something is missing; Newt knows that he won't ever be able to blank out the pain of his friend's deaths, but there's something else.
When Marley turns up, Newt knows she's trouble - how has someone else got through the flat trans? Can cranks get through? With their new world in jeopardy, for Newt it is a battle with his head and heart.
The plot thickens as a Flat Trans opens up. Where does it go? Who set it up?
It seems like Marley must be the key, but she's got enough on her plate. Unwilling to open up, she makes a rash decision, which leads to a horrific twist.
The battle is not over yet.

I know Newt dies *sobs* but I'm pretending that he was immune and just went with Thomas and Minho in The Kill Order!)

Since We Were Kids (Newt x Reader)
"We are never getting out of here are we," I said to my best friend without the slightest bit of hope. "Come on, Teddy. Don't think like that," he says trying to reassure me. I notice him fidgeting with his hands, knowing I'm probably right. We are both standing on the Watch tower, leaning over the railing. I look across the Glade. I study the people and my surroundings. Newt has been to hell and back with his friends. The Glade, The Maze, The Scorch, The inner halls of WICKED. But now he has a burden that can't be shared with Thomas and the others-the Flare. Although Newt thought he was running away from his friends to save them from himself, along the way he meets a young girl named Kath and her little brother Dante, who end up saving Newt soul in a way he wouldn't even have been able to imagine. Taking place during the latter events of The Death Cure, Crank Palace tells the story of Newt like never before, from inside his own mind, as he searches for meaning in a life gone horribly wrong. He will try to fulfill a newfound destiny before his path leads to its inevitable conclusion-and one last meeting with his best friend.
