On the Boiling Isles, a young person named River whispers struggles with the hard fact they live three separate lives, that only three other people know about. Raine tells them to have a life in the human realm, as an escape if Emperor Belos ever found they could travel between the realms. Their twin sister Savannah has to suffer the same fate of having a second life. And their girlfriend Ivy has to sit there and watch their pain.
And that doesn't even scratch the surface of the schemes, plots, ruses and shenanigans they and their friends get into.
