Elias is a young man attending Numen Hall University in the city of Maple Hearth along his roommate Trevor, who harbors a massive crush on him. The dynamics change when he meets Naree, the new exchange student, and he falls head-over-heels with her at the same time as his childhood best friend, Muriel, also grows interested in Naree. Their competition over each other's attention and affection only worsens when Elias is pulled to a family funeral where he receives a mysterious letter from his dead uncle: he's to receive a secret inheritance at midnight.
