"What the hell are you!?" I shout out with wide eyes. His large figure blocked out most of the light from the street while his shadows seemed to melt into the darkness of the alley. The only thing that shined with light were his amber eyes, which made him look scary as shit.

"I could ask you the same thing" he answers coldly, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Ariella's biggest desire in life has always been such a simple one. She wants to be 'normal.' Unfortunately, that one simple wish has never been within her grasp. Coming from a long line of witches is bad enough, but she's even more different than the rest of her family. The fact that no one will give her any answers to why she's so different doesn't help matters. Her entire existence is shrouded in secrets that everyone around her refuses to reveal. After a family tragedy, she moves to a new town, and she gets her first chance to at least pretend to be 'normal.' For the first time, she's allowed to leave the house and go to an actual school. She makes friends, and she develops her first crush, that's quickly followed by her second. She's finally living the normal teenage life she'd dreamed of, but it doesn't last. Everything she believed about herself and the world around her is changed in an instant. Family secrets come to light one after another, turning her entire world upside down in the process. She quickly realizes that sometimes ignorance really is bliss, and maybe she didn't really want to know the answers to the questions she'd always asked, especially when one of these truths causes people close to her to turn their backs on her without hesitation. Before she can even recover from the shock, she's thrust into a war that she hadn't even known existed. Loyalties will be tested. She'll have to choose sides between all of the people she's come to care about. Will she stand with her family, her new friends, or the two boys who both hold a piece of her heart? One thing is for sure. She'll have to let go of her dream of 'normal.'

Axel glanced over his shoulder and screeched to a halt, sprinting back over. I could see the worry in his eyes. I could faintly hear him calling my name. My body was throbbing as I gazed with glazed eyes at the street tiles. The last thing I saw before my vision turned dark was dirty blonde hair and a pair of sky blue eyes. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * Updates every Saturday

Sneak peak: Suddenly a very small, strange creature that looked like a miniature woman with wings darted in front of Celine's face, then flew over to Brandon and followed along beside him for a moment before speeding back into the Royal Pine Forest as he reined in his horse. "What in the Midlands was that?" Brandon asked in shock. "I don't know," Celine answered concerned. "Something very strange is going on. I feel like I need to go into the woods! There's something I need to do in the woods!" she said as she rode over to the side of the road and dismounted, running into the Royal Pine Forest as Brandon called after her to wait. He quickly dismounted and swiftly lead his horse over to Celine's, taking its reins and tying both horses to a tree before going after her. "Celine! Wait!" he called after her as he realized that he could hear a very low humming noise coming from within the woods. "Maybe she's following the noise," he thought as he began to follow it to find where it was coming from and hopefully locate Celine. He pushed through the underbrush as the sound became louder and then he saw Celine standing in front of a whirling, shimmering vortex which was floating about four feet above the forest floor. There was a myriad of different types of strange looking creatures coming out of it and Brandon stood there in disbelief at what he was seeing.

Ruler of Angels | The Royal Legacies Series

21 parts Complete Mature

Elves were an interesting species, to say the least, and King Vaeril was just that. Although he was older than most around him, the elven age being twice the dwarven, he still seemed connected to his people. Unlike others, his parents did spoil him with riches, but he tended to hang around the poorer folks. Luckily for him, he learned to be more humble than other lords. To outsiders, the elves were looked at like "angels", being so ethereal in looks and attitude that people tended to fond over them. But this man wasn't like the rest. Falling, or well, stumbling into the king's life was not a part of the plan. He never needed an assassin, but with mercenaries in every corner, he starts to believe this man was put into his life for a reason. In the past two hundred years of existing, he's never felt this way before. This man is going to end up changing his entire life without realizing it. | Second Book of The Royal Legacies Series | • - - - - - - - - - - • - - - - - - - - - - • This will contain some language, references, blood, and violence.
