Claire finds out when she has to survive on her own after the infection claims her husband and everyone in her home town in East Texas.  After months of being alone, she meets AJ and Doofus, his dog, who invites her to come with them to the Air Force base in Little Rock, Arkansas where a group of survivors have set up a community. Is it happily ever after for Claire? Will they even survive the journey?

Our story begins with Ashlin. After waking up in a car wreck with no memories of her past and having no idea where she is, she's forced to find out what is going on by herself, because she finds she's utterly alone. She figures out real quick that the world is extremely dangerous, but she's in luck as someone finds her. But he's not exactly safe and trustworthy. --- Author's note: This fiction contains graphic images, strong language, sexual content, alcohol, drugs, and gore.
