In the enchanting realm of Skyrim, where dragons soar and magic pulses through the very air, a Khajiit mage named Ehtyla'ko finds herself entangled in a web of mystery and danger. As a gifted healer, her serene life takes a treacherous turn when the shadows of her past emerge, threatening to consume her.

Kidnapped by the Thalmor, Ehtyla'ko manages a daring escape with the help of an unlikely ally, her fellow prisoner Kaidan. Together, they embark on a perilous journey through the rugged landscapes of Skyrim, pursued by a group of assassins seeking to silence the secrets locked within the Khajiit journal.

Every step feels like they progress in the wrong direction and they must learn to trust each other in order to make it out alive. In the heart of Skyrim's unforgiving wilderness, the pair must navigate ancient ruins, battle mythical creatures, and unravel the threads of a dark conspiracy. Can they unlock the secrets hidden within the pages of the journal before the assassins close in?

"A Healer's Despair" is a gripping tale of resilience, friendship, and the relentless pursuit of truth in the face of impending danger. Join Ehtyla'ko and Kaidan as they traverse the vast landscapes of Skyrim, their fates intertwined with the chilling echoes of a forgotten past. Will they unveil the mystery that haunts the young mage, or will the shadows of Skyrim claim them both? The answers lie within the pages of the journal, waiting to be deciphered in the midst of a world teetering on the brink of chaos.

There is not just one princess in trouble in this Novella, but two. Both are in need of protection and only one can do the protecting. When Vondra meets the recently widowed Prince Sharzor, she finds herself disliking him and when they are together, she despises him all the more. For some reason, he seems to hate her and does his best to keep putting her in her 'place', believing she is either a servant or a crafty female criminal. But deeper emotions are at play in both of them and soon they will surface... This is to be a 'Novella', written for Wattpad's 2021 Open Novella Contest and is about the seventeen-year-old princess, Vondra, who appears like an upper-class servant, certainly not a royally titled young woman. She is on the run and has no idea where she is or where she is going. She whispers, "I'm in heap of trouble and there is no way on this earth that I will go back. I don't fully believe in God, but as a last resort before I find a high cliff to throw myself off, I will pray and ask for help to become the woman my grandfather taught me to be."- He had told her, 'You're a weapon and weapons don't weep.' At the same time she wished to fulfill her Grandmother's prayers that she would 'be a woman of great wisdom, care, love, faith, hope and peace. I have placed this novella in the category 'Romance' as there was no category for 'Action-Romance' - the main romance doesn't happen right way because of the prince's loss and princess being in such trouble, she can only think of herself, of escaping and finding a normal life away from the restrictions of royalty. When the romance begins in earnest, it is intense. Enjoy.
