Rosie stared at me from across the aisle, all color draining from her face. She recognized me. I knew that for certain.
Her light brown eyes remained as bright as I remembered. Her slender frame now sported more of the womanly curves my fingertips never forgot.
I'd been waiting for this exact moment for five years.
I had so many things prepared to say, but they all went out the window when I saw the one thing I hadn't expected.
The little boy holding her hand.

They met two years ago by the hand of fate and now are nothing but a distant memory to both. A she wolf with an innately kind demeanor and a confident alpha male with an instant disliking and mistrust for anyone come together in this tale of love and I can assure you it doesn't happen overnight. Love is a journey that we all shall take part in, aware or unaware of the fact, these two will grow together and as individuals. ------------------------ "You will be the Luna to my pack, that is a given, but understand; we will not be sharing a room now or in the future, we will only be sexually active for the sake of making pups, you are to be marked within the week and also introduced to the pack, you must also memorize our pack rules as some may be slightly different form your last pack, we will hold hands in public on special occasions but not often and any form of PDA is prohibited." He pulled out a paper and placed it in front of me. "If you understand sign below." I stared at the paper in front of me gathering all that my mate had said. This felt like a business deal. "What if I do not agree to these terms?" Cain's face hardened and I could see his form shake slightly as he fought back a growl, anger pulsed through our weak bond. "Then we cannot be mates and I will send you away from me, we will never meet again." I stared at the man in front of me and took no more than two seconds before picking up the elegant black pen stationed in a fancy cup holder on his desk and signed my name quickly on the required portions of the document in front of me. Once the pen lifted from the page Cain took the paper from me and signed below my own name as a witness and dated the document. I wondered with little humor if this would be our anniversary.

Alexa Grey. Brandon Flemming. Sebastian O'Connor. Girl. Boxer. Fighter. --- excerpt --- A boy around my age was getting mercilessly beaten by someone with their back to me. I recoiled in horror at the sight of blood everywhere and the cracking of his ribs as punch after punch knocked through him. The boy must have noticed that I was there as he lifted his head, looking at me with a desperate plea for help. Then his attacker turned around and my eyes nervously met Sebastian's. Within milliseconds, anger overtook me and I stormed over. "Leave." Sebastian growled, barely even glancing at me as he pushed me straight into a brick wall. "Stop hitting him," I gasped, trying to get my breath back as I moved away from the wall. "Get out of here." There was nothing but stone cold harshness in Sebastian's voice as he ordered me once again to leave. "No." My breath had been regained and I was standing taller now, my confidence for some reason soaring. "I said," He spat out the words, turning away from the boy and towards me, "to get out of here." "Make me." I didn't even blink as I locked eyes with him, daring him to lay another finger on me. "Fine." Sebastian slammed me back against the wall, grabbing my bandaged wrist and twisting it. There was nothing I could do to hold back the small scream that escaped my lips as he applied more and more pressure. Yet I made no attempt to move away. "Don't touch him." I managed to say, desperately trying to keep my voice as smooth as possible. "I don't have to listen to you," He scoffed. "You don't. But you should." "Oh, and why should I?" Sebastian had visibly calmed down now, it was obvious. Even the tight grip on my wrist had loosened completely. "Because you're better than that." I replied softly, moving myself away from the wall and glancing down at the semi-conscious boy. "You over-estimate me then." With that, Sebastian dropped back and walked off without a single look behind him.

"Why can't you just go away, Ian!" I spat. "We don't need you!" "I think you do, Amber." Ian countered calmly, slowly circling the large table to get to me. "At least speak with your pack. I think some may welcome the change--" "We've done fine!" I moved to widen the distance between us. "It must pain you to know a female pack can thrive!" "I'm sure you've done fine on your own," Ian said softly. "but we are talking about growth, mates, expansion. I believe our packs uniting would be good for all." I gave a snort, looking away. "Good for you, you mean." "Good for you, too." His look held sensual promise as he began to move again. "I don't think so," I sneered as he came closer. His scent was beginning to affect me, so I began to back away. The sight of his large and muscular frame was frightening but held me in wonder, his dark eyes a little too discerning for my taste. But I wanted my freedom, and to unite with an alpha as good as took that away. "Go away, Ian. You're not wanted--" "Okay." "What?" "So, send me away." He said it simply. "I'm a male alpha, but you are female, so you can send me away." "I did!" "No, you didn't," he gave a small smile. "Every time you mention me leaving you look away." He began to move toward me. "I want you to stand still, look me in the eyes--" He pointed at his eyes for emphasis. "Right here, and tell me you want me to leave." I watched him slowly make small steps toward me. I brought my eyes to his and couldn't breathe. His scent permeated my senses, making me feel weak, but strengthening a bond that called for consummation. I didn't want this! Damn him! I shook my head, trying to get the words out, but instead felt tears come to my eyes. He cornered me, leaning down, and caressed my cheek. I bit back a sob, rooted to the spot. He rubbed my nose with his as his eyes glowed and his canines appeared. "Liar." he whispered.
