The Wolf's Mate

Ever since I moved to this town called Silver Creek people grew eerie of the night. I walked down a dimly lit street when I felt like I was being followed. Looking behind me I didn't see anything but a quick black blur. I started running fast as I could the opposite direction I spotted the blur. "You can't run away from me mate. You are mine and only mine." A deep masculine voice said in my head.

Right as I was about step on my driveway a huge midnight black wolf appeared in front of me. "Haha I told you that you can't run from me mate." The voice said in my head again. "I'm not your friend so leave me alone." I said looking at the wolf. The wolf's face changed from ticked to amusement. "I never thought that I would end up with a mate that is full of life and fight." The voice said again.

Backing away from the wolf only made it growl menacingly at me. Take my chances I turned and ran. "Fine want to play chase then we will!" The voice said coldly.
