In which a 13-year-old girl arrives at a so-called glade with no memory of how or why she was there. The only thing she knew was that she was the only girl there.

It was quite challenging being the only girl in the glade.

But as time went by, she got used to them, the boys and the place that now she called home.

Kate was what most of the gladers called her. Being the only girl, Keeper of the Med-Jacks and also a runner.

At the age of 15, after a few weeks of being officially a runner, she went to the maze as usual with Minho. However, this time she got separated from her partner and went missing.

What happened to her? Is she alive or dead?

That's what been in the gladers mind for the past months. Some believe she's still out there, alive. While some believe she is dead. What could the answer be?
