Sadie Finnegan Sinclair has had a bit of a rough upbringing. With trouble everywhere she went, it went with her. A neglectful mom and dad, too many fake friends, it seemed endless. But a brief stint in a juvenile detention center is where she meets the few friends that made her better about herself; Talia Garcia and Rhianne Connors. At 18, she moved back to her hometown in Westchester, Pennsylvania, and her friends followed, wanting to not be separated. Together, the three girls form their own band: Sadie and The Skater Chasers.
Fast forward to 2000 and things have been stable. Solid careers while doing their small little band gig together. But Sadie has.. other plans in mind. One chance encounter after renting a video from her workplace would make things a whole lot more different, but how? One thing is clearly for sure. If this country girl was going to be dumb, she was going to be tough too.
