Dylan, a 13 year old native Californian, loves surfing. He has been surfing ever since he was a little kid. He hasn't surfed for 2 years now. His mom won't let him surf, ever since his dad was killed by a shark when he was surfing. When school is finally let out, he signs up for a surfing contest, where he could win money, which could really help out his surfing career, without his mother knowing. His friends help him train, and are practicing with him every day. But he needs to get over his fear of sharks, and face the risk that all surfers face. He also needs to watch out for the person that seems to be trying to wreck this contest. What will his mom think? Will he face the risk? Does he have the potential to win? And who are his real friends?

The Tour
The Championship Tour is the biggest stage of professional surfing. Anyone who has a future in the sport spends years there, searching for a World Title. River Lancer has earned herself a shot to jump from the Qualifying Series to the big leagues, and she intends to make it count. The tour is where every surfer wants to be, but searching the world for the best waves can make things at home in Hawaii a little different. Specifically, one relationship between River and a boy back home might change a whole lot with one crash of a wave. Ironically, a wave might be the thing to show River that surfing isn't the most important thing in the world. “What is your problem?! LEAVE ME ALONE!” I screeched. I was tired of this and couldn't hold it in. He’s been doing this for a whole year. A WHOLE YEAR. It was the last day and I had nothing to lose from this sudden outburst anyway. I was ecstatic that it was almost summer vacation. I’m going to go to my aunt’s place in Philadelphia and live there for the rest of the summer – AWAY from Dylan and his friends here in Massachusetts. “Never, baby. Seventeen year old Casper Reynolds and his goofy laidback best friend Eric live and breathe surfing. Living in a busy tourist town in California right on the coast makes for a pretty crowded city, especially in the summer. Casper's parents just so happen to own one of the most sought out hotels in the city. So when they end up short-handed during the busiest time of year they ask Casper to help out. Instead of getting to surf from sunrise to sunset, instead of being able to check out the 'hot babes' as Eric would say, and instead of having the summer of a lifetime he gets stuck with a summer job. It doesn't help one bit when a mysterious grudge-holding girl ends up staying at the hotel Casper's working at. After a chance encounter that goes horribly wrong the girl obviously has it out for Casper. If personalities could be graded like school work Casper would be a solid C. He's average. He's not memorable or extraordinary or even remarkable. The mystery girl however would be an F as in a failure of a human being. She's mean, cruel, and simply unbearable. So what happens when Casper finds out the girl has secret? Maybe...just maybe he'll realize there's more to her than a rude, crude exterior. With couple heated arguments, sarcastic comments, and a little blackmail anything is possible. *Warning* ~This is my first book on Wattpad so, read at your own risk.
