"My life is falling apart. And the only thing I care about is if she's still in it."
-
"You're bleeding. What happened?"
"Nothing. Go away, Jace." She answered.
"Bullshit, did someone do something to you?" He asked.
"Why are you acting like this?" She questioned.
He looked at her, confused .
"You think you can ignore me for years and then come back when you feel like it? What because I'm leaving and you and your family can't hurl your insults at me anymore."
"I know it hard for you to believe, but there are other people out there who care for me because I am worth loving, and if you all can't understand that fuck them and you-"
"I know you're worth loving, you know how? Because I love you, and i will till the day die. Stop telling me nothing is wrong. I know you're having nightmares tell me what's causing them and I'll take care of it. " He stated.
"I'm here." He paused. "You can talk to me or not, but just know I'm here."
--
"The joke is on me, right?" she chuckled humorlessly, clapping her hands. "Of course it is. I was foolish to believe that someone could ever see the fact that I never asked to be born as a product of what happened to your mother. But I was foolish to think that I could be that lucky, so the joke is on me." With a defiant glint in her eyes, she poured the contents of her cup over her head.
The others gasped in shock.
"No, it's not," Jace said desperately, trying to reach for her, but she rejected his advances."Do you still think he hates you."
Mika stayed silent, not knowing what to say.
"Mika, he just ran into a building that was seconds away from crumbling to the ground to save you." She paused. "If that isn't love, I don't know what love is."
"Enough." Randy commanded.
"Were you in on it, too?" She asked, her voice trembling.
"In on what?" Randy replied, looking genuinely confused.

She really was the girl who carried her last name like a burden.
"Actually I do. I'm working", I said with no emotion at all. They didn't deserve it. They don't get to know how I have felt through the years without them, I'm happy here.
"Nope, your coming out to dinner away from this dump with your brothers and father", He said whilst looking around in discust. I rolled my eyes at him which he looked pretty shocked at.
"Look Stone, Im not that 6 year old you can just boss around and fuck over anymore, I can take care of myself, Ive been doing that for my whole life so far, so why not the rest, so either order something or get the fuck out", I said to him getting faster and faster as I spoke. The boys gasped when I swore at Stone.
He, on the other hand, looked furious.
