When the mythical Pokemon Celebi accidentally leaves an undiscovered species of Pokemon in the Johto Region where it cannot survive, a young trainer named Rayla makes a promise to deliver the baby Pokemon to the top of Mount Silver where it will be able to live in peace. 
	During her journey, she is met with great adversity that will challenge her emotions and strength as a trainer, including the brutal illegal group known as the Silver Gang, the same gang who murdered her father eight years ago, who wish to capture the baby Pokemon for themselves and take it to the black market. 

(Though set in the Pokemon Universe, 'Rayla's Ascent' gives the reader a look into the darker side of this normally kid-friendly world. Suggestive language, violence, and illegal activities give this story a darker spin on the franchise.)(CC) Attribution-ShareAlike
