Matilda watched her Father with wide eyes, her focus on his deep, raspy voice.
"For things to grow, you need both the sun and the rain. The good and the bad. That's what makes the most beautiful things in nature."
Matilda Graham was the embodiment of sunshine in human form. Her bright demeanour and positive outlook always spread to those around her. Except when she met her neighbouring allotment owner, Issac.
Issac had a perpetual thunderstorm around him, his icy aura causing most people to keep their distance. That was until he bumped into his new neighbour, Matilda.
Will opposites attract? Maybe both Matilda and Issac need each other more than they both realise.

Nature calls
I feel someone looking at me, so I look around to see who it is. I stop and lock eyes with a man who has short brown hair, brown eyes and a square jaw. I'm frozen in place and I can't stop staring at him. It looks like he can't look away either. I haven't seen him before. Maybe he's new in town...? Suddenly the air smells like... mint... and strawberries. A moment after, a beautiful blond haired woman walks up to him and links her arm with his. "Ready?" she asks him. He's still looking at me and it's like time stands still for a moment. "Huh?" he asks. "Ready to go? We got to get to the party tonight, remember?" "Oh... yeah... right." Our connection breaks and I can finally look away. What just happened? I felt a pull to him like I had to go to him. Slowly getting on my bike, I make my way home. I can't stop thinking about him.
