The Pridelanders were victorious! No one could believe it, but the war was over at last! Unfortunately, during the final battle, Kion sustained an injury that ran much further than skin-deep. The only hope for a cure was the legendary and mystical Tree of Life, thousands of miles away. To make matters even worse, Fuli, a member of the Lion Guard and Kion's best friend, by absolute chance uncovers a truth that could change the young lion's already fragile life forever.
As they set off on the journey, they knew one thing: nothing would be the same again.

When Kopa who is acting as King for the Pride Lands tries to conquer the Tree of Life but fails as Scar invades with an army, the Lion Guard are kicked out and Kion and Rani go on a crazy adventure. One day the Guard was patrolling and went to the Watering Hole because it was so hot out, when they get there a few moments passed and Kion gets bit by a snake and he gets horribly sick and possibly dying. She knew him as a cub and thinking about him getting taken away like that, it makes her sad and it doesn't help with the feelings she has for him.
