An abandoned space station is the find of a lifetime, and for Orin it might just be the last thing he finds. With the help of a friend and a homemade salvage vessel Orin intends to make the most of this treasure but after a series of disasters, he is left to find his own way home. It takes everything he has and then some. Even that might not be enough. Is the fight for survival worth the pain of living when you are alone? It might be if he can find meaning in this deep black ocean we call the universe.

The world was deemed unliveable in 2025. Humans were moved to space stations in order to survive, looking for a new planet to call home. The year is now 2050, and we still have not found a planet. I was born on this ship but my parents were alive when Earth 'died.' I've been chosen to journey to the planet of Alalea in hopes of finally finding somewhere to live. Calming A Racing Heart
Joshua was born with an emptiness inside him. A physical hollow that occupied half of his existence. No one else could see it, but he was constantly aware of its presence . Every day his life was plagued by the hollowness, never feeling whole. When he turned sixteen it got worse. An extreme longing took up residence in the center of that emptiness. Isolation
For centuries, the human race has been at the mercy of deep space. While on Earth, scientists discovered the Ice Age would be occurring much sooner than predicted. They built Arks and jettisoned specified colonies on a direct course for Pluto to escape their frozen fates. Then, the Drax arrived. All of the colonies were destroyed except for one: Canis, the leader of the evacuation. Canis's designated animal was the wolf. We escaped Earth and made it to Pluto, colonized it, made it our new home. They found us again. Only a few survivors live on. My father, the captain and leader, was killed in the attack. My friends survived with me, and we all agree there is only one place we can run. We have to go back. We must return to our home. My name is Mark O'Connor, and I am the last surviving leader of the human race. There is no one else left in command. There's no one to tell me what to do anymore. There are no more others.
