Le concept de Dieu en Islam donne à l'homme une manière de pensée dans laquelle toute perte est transformée en gain et dans laquelle toute adversité apporte avec elle de bonnes nouvelles. Et c'est dans la soumission à Dieu et en vivant une vie orientée vers Dieu que l'homme trouve la réalisation complète et le but de sa vie.

Quand il découvre Dieu et Le vénère quand il se souvient de Lui, quand son esprit est tourné vers Lui avec une pleine concentration, quand il fait une demande ou une supplication, il établit un contact avec son Créateur.

Selon un hadith, à ce moment précis, il en vient à parler intimement avec son Seigneur. Il a le sentiment tangible qu'il déverse son cœur en Dieu et que Dieu à Son tour répond à son appel.. Il commence à recevoir l'inspiration de Dieu. C'est le début d'une vie orientée vers Dieu et le développement d'une personnalité positive.
