Seventeen year-old Haymitch Abernathy , newly crowned Victor, threat to the Capitol, is in a miserable mess.
After witnessing the agonizing capture of his mother and brother, Haymitch would do anything to protect his youngest brother- Lancaster. Despite the hollow grief that has been haunting his soul Haymitch knows he must stay strong for Lancaster. But with the Capitol eager to push him past he breaking point, Haymitch knows that he could not save his brother from the Capitol's iron grip. As the dire situation arises, Haymitch knows the only way to save him was to give him up.
With no one else to turn to, no one else in the world to trust , Haymitch sends him to a family who shares his grief: the Everdeens.
