Rose and Swan Boarding School's social heirarchy is disrupted with the arrival of a new student who catches the eye of the star of the hockey team. Can Edward and Gaveston keep their relationship a secret from the malicious student body and faculty? Definitely not. Rose and Swan is a highly religious boarding school nestled deep in the mountains. It's the perfect place to hide, but Edward is about to find out you can't hide from yourself. He had no problem hiding his sexuality, not until Piers Gaveston, his new roommate, shows up. Based loosely on Kit Marlowe's play 'Edward II'. Feels like a teen rom-com. I wrote this as the book I wished I'd had as a teenager, that is to say I wanted it to be a sort of comforting, relatable world, as well as genuinely fun. That said it does follow the basic plot of the play so there are some unsettling scenes. Namely Chapters: 15, and 23 on. (If you think the cover is too gay I assure you it's what Marlowe would have wanted. If you think the book is too gay I PROMISE you, it's what Marlowe would have wanted). Trigger/Content Warning: some graphic violence that may be disturbing to some readers (chapters 21--on, Epilogue is fine). Some teenage sexuality (teenagers kiss, it is implied teenagers have sex, chapter 19 primarily, but all scenes are PG-13 level sensuality). Brief teenage level crude humor. Self harm is discussed throughout (worst depiction in chapter 14). Conversion therapy discussed at length and briefly depicted (Chapter 15). A character suffers from gender dyphoria and is dead-named on page (chapter 20). Graphic violence/torture after Chapter 21. Be aware of your mental state and seek help as needed.

**2ND PLACE IN THE WATTY'S OSCAR AWARDS ** "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE !? " I yelled in her face making her coward back in fear , just how I like them. "I really am sorry Logan ..." "NOT ENOUGH. IF YOU THINK I'VE MADE YOUR LIFE HELL BEFORE, JUST YOU WAIT !" And with that , I grabbed my bag, leaving her in her pile of misery. If she thought I was going to stay after that little performance of her , she had another thing coming. "Logan please! Don't do this . I promised your mom I would help you . Even if it means I have to sit through your insults " she said , yanking me back by my backpack. I was beyond peeved at her right now. "Who do you think you ARE little 'I'm a church girl ' !? Who gives you the RIGHT TO JUST YANK ON ME ! INCASE I HAVEN'T MADE IT CLEAR YET ; LET ME MAKE IT CLEARER. " I looked her straight in the face and jabbed my finger " DONT. YOU . DARE. TOUCH. ME. AGAIN! " As I pulled back her eyes started to gloss over , making her stumble backwards and hit the wall behind her. Pathetic. **** Logan Delgada was your typical , stereotypical super popular , rich jocks that thinks the world revolved around him. The type of guy that walks around with the attitude that 'the party doesn't start until he gets there ' . Like he's a gift to the world. Amaya Parker is a preacher's daughter. The youth leader at their church. She hides away in big crowds and does everything in her will power to keep everyone around her happy. He's rude. She's thoughtful. He swears . Alison doesn't like hockey. It isn't so much the sport itself that she doesn't like, but rather the people who play it. After a bad break-up with her brother's ex-teammate, she swore off all hockey players for life. She is sick of hockey, sick of the players, and sick of Maukingnen Falls, but she can't seem to get away from any of it. Using her dad's connections in her career doesn't exactly help the situation, but she's determined to make a name for herself outside of the hockey world. If that means name dropping her famous family to get a few meetings so she can finally move out of her hometown and leave her reputation behind her, then she'll buckle up and deal with it. That is until she takes too much of an advantage dropping her last name and somehow ends up in the showers of her hometown's hockey team. Who catches her there? None other than the team's captain. Dylan Cavanaugh doesn't like his private life on display, but being the biggest player in hockey at his young age makes it hard to keep his private life private. Things blow up when his breakup with his Hollywood actress ex-girlfriend quite literally take over the town and he can't seem to escape the attention of every reporter and single woman he sees. When he finds out the real reason the woman he caught in the showers hates hockey, he makes a proposition that could benefit both of them. Now he's in a fake relationship to avoid having to continuously deny a real one because the girl he chose would never date another hockey player. The plan is flawless: fake a relationship to break away from her family name and save him from unwanted attention. This plan could get her out of Maukingnen Falls. It could get her family to respect her again. And it could get her toxic ex-boyfriend to finally leave her alone. What could possibly go wrong?
