Maybe, the world did, in fact, not end. But my ability to feel did. And maybe, you're not the bad guy I paint you out to be-maybe you were just a 17 year old boy who didn't know better then. But did my young heart deserve all the hell it's been through, because you were "young" and "didn't know better"? After everything that we've been through, did I really deserve that kind of treatment? Did I deserve all of those at 16? You were everything that my 16 year old heart wanted.
It's been months, I'm almost 18 now. For the last remaining days of 2023, I will fill this with "us", so I can let everything go and finally close out this chapter of us as I welcome 2024.
