Melanie dreamed of escaping her home town her entire adolescent life, so it's a shock to the system when she returns to her childhood home to help her grandparents with the family bakery. Melanie's pops has been battling cancer for some time, and her grandma just can't keep up while also raising her younger sister Rose. When Melanie returns home, she intends to keep a low profile. Help ma and pops with the bakery, finish out her education, and get Rose through school. Then hopefully she can return to Boston and avoid all of the memories from her past in Chapman Hills. It isn't until a night out on the town with her best friend Carly that those dreams seem to disappear. One things leads to another and Melanie finds herself in an alley behind a fancy club being harassed by none other than her best friends new boyfriend, when a tall, dark haired man comes to her rescue. Will Melanie tell her best friend what happened? Will she see the man again to thank him for saving her?
