She was a bet, he won. He was everything, until he wasn't. ---- "I've still never gotten over you." "And I still hate how much I want you. Even now 5 fucking years later." ---- From elementary, to middle school, to high school. Same grade and always in the same class. Almost as if they're meant to never be too far apart... From childhood friends, to souls drawn apart. In other words, unfinished business. She's always liked him. He's always wanted not to love her. After a scheme gone wrong, the two are no longer connected. Who would've thought so much chaos could take place in one night? Or rather days... ---- 5 years, 6 months, 4,380 hours, 262,800 minutes, and 15,768,017.3 seconds later... Somehow they find their way back to each other. Only, neither of them are the same as they once were. One filled with anger and hatred. Some towards his desire for her, even more for himself. The other trying to figure out what she wants with her life. Trying to find closure in faces that feel an ounce of familiarity. So close, yet so far apart. Only thing holding them together is the fact they're both attending the same university. That and their parents trying to makes things right between the two. The only thing getting in the way, is them.

They met as kids-classmates until the fourth grade-where he had a quiet crush on her before she transferred schools. Years later, fate brought them back together in high school. What started as friendship quickly turned into something deeper, and for four years, they were inseparable. They had plans, dreams, and a love that felt unshakable. Until the day she broke up with him and disappeared from his life without a single explanation. Years passed, but the unanswered questions never left him. Neither did the feelings. He tried to move on, to forget, but no one ever came close to being what she was to him. And just when he thought he'd finally buried the past, she came back-this time, as his fiancée in a marriage neither of them chose. She tells herself it's just duty. He tells himself he's over it. But the past lingers between them, unspoken and unresolved. The tension simmers, the familiarity remains, and despite everything, so does the pull between them. He fell first. And even after all these years, he never truly stopped. She thought walking away once was hard-she never imagined falling again would be even harder.
