The world had never seen such chaos. It started subtly, whispers of a new virus spreading in distant corners of the globe. At first, it seemed like just another outbreak, contained by the swift response of medical teams and governments. But then, it mutated. What began as a simple infection quickly spiraled into an unstoppable pandemic, turning friends, family, and neighbors into mindless, ravenous creatures. As cities fell into darkness and society crumbled, the survivors were left to navigate a world teetering on the brink of extinction. Among them, a disparate group of individuals emerged, each with their own story of loss, survival, and hope. Little did they know that their paths would converge in the fight for humanity's future, as they faced not only the undead hordes but also the darkest aspects of human nature. In the midst of despair, a glimmer of resilience flickered-a determination to defy the odds and reclaim what was lost. But as the sun set on civilization, casting long shadows over a world forever changed, the question remained: would they emerge victorious, or would they become just another footnote in the annals of history?

Brushing off his new friends' warnings as mere rumors, Zane woos Harmony... until her behavior becomes hard to ignore. Is her vacant stare because he's boring? + Co-written with Meteoritezr + First rule of living with the Flock? No names. Nothing real anyway. You don't survive with your humanity, you shed it, or it sheds you. Zombies were said to be impossible, that they'd never happen, well obviously whoever said that had underestimated human curiosity. It started with the melting of the Poles, which uncovered diseases that hadn't been seen in millennia. Obviously, when a flesh-eating parasitical virus was found, scientists in all their glory decided to study it, which led to the greatest calamity in human history. Warning: This is the original book 1, it is now considered more of a prelude/building character relationships arc than a book. This provides backstory and sets the foundation for the characters and their relationships. The action starts in the new book 1 - Migration. - TW: Gore, Cursing, Death, etc. Not recommended for anyone who can't stomach gore or other zombie stuff or LGBTQ+. THE RISKS
"You can't tell me there isn't something here worth risking everything for." [New Adult Apocalyptic Romance] Summary: There are some things that you can't outrun. That becomes all the more obvious when the world is ending, when there's nothing left but the feral creatures that were once people, consumed now by a virus that's made them cannibalistic and ravenous. It might just be easier to end it all, but Claire still has one last thing to fight for. Her younger sister. And she intends to keep her safe, no matter the cost. So, with no other options and her sister in tow, Claire ventures out into the dangers of this new, unforgiving world in search of safety, security, and answers to some long burning questions. The first two things -along with some new, unexpected questions- she finds in an unlikely place: a stranger who she's become indebted to. She has a feeling he can help her answer all her questions, if she can allow herself to fully trust him. Trust, she thinks, is a fragile thing. Humanity, a construct. Love, a weakness. But these are the thoughts of a survivor, and she's beginning to wonder if surviving is all she wants. Maybe she wants to live.

    Through Blood and Ash
Through Blood and Ash. What's left after everything burns? --------- They warned us. We didn't listen. Now the world is dead - and the dead are all that's left. The year is 6062, and humanity has collapsed under the weight of its own arrogance. A cure meant to save us twisted into something monstrous, turning loved ones into soulless predators with only one instinct: kill. Cara has lost everything - her family, her home, and the illusion that safety still exists. With a small band of survivors, she clings to life on the run, haunted by the screams of those she couldn't save... especially her brother. But when a desperate choice forces them back into the infected zones, Cara will have to decide what's worse: the monsters outside, or the guilt that's been tearing her apart from within. In a world where hope is dying and nightmares walk in daylight, survival comes at a cost - and not everyone is willing to pay it. -------------------------------- REWRITTEN I've gone back and rewritten this story from the ground up. As well as changed the name. The original had a strong foundation, but I knew there was more I could bring to it-more depth, more heart, and a better reading experience. I truly hope you enjoy this new version. And if you're returning from the original, thank you for sticking with me-I hope this one resonates with you just as much, if not more.
