Years ago, I met the man of my dreams in a bar and his name was Rhett Ardolini.

Everything happened so fast. We both felt the connection to each other. The love that blossomed between us during the Christmas holidays cannot be denied. It was a whirlwind romance and just a week of meeting each other, he moved in with me.

Another week and we were married.

Everyone thought that it was too fast. Everyone thought that we could not survive a relationship like that. Everyone was telling us that love should have a solid foundation that they believed lacked in our relationship. But we wanted to prove them wrong. Rhett and I loved each other and even if we still don't know things about each other, we have our entire lifetime to know about us. A month of living with him as his wife was the best times of my life.

But I guess, people were right that fast paced romance was doomed from the start.

Because I saw him cheating on me.

My whole world crashed all over me. Heartbroken and betrayed, I divorced him. I didn't hear nor asked any explanation. I let my lawyers fixed everything and never looked back. I erased him and that painful memory from my life.

Fast forward present time, my mother introduced her new boyfriend to me. I didn't imagine that my past would come back and began to knock in my life again.

My cheater ex-husband was the son of my mother's new boyfriend and right in front of me. Instead of asking for forgiveness, what I received was hate and anger because he accused me of ghosting him for five years. He never admitted that he cheated on me even if I saw it with my own very eyes.

I didn't want any connection with him anymore. I didn't want to remember all the heartaches and sleepless nights that I had while I was mending my heart the he broke. I started over. I moved on.

But when he saw someone tried to kiss me, he punched the guy in the face and pulled me away.

Then began telling everyone that I am his wife and we were still very much married.

For Cyra, being in love with her longtime best friend is heartache wrapped in a pretty package. Having witnessed all of Eli's conquests, Cyra is too familiar with his flirt-play-leave strategy--and she's not going to be a victim no matter how much she wants Eli to look at her as more than just a best friend. But Cyra's struggle with her unrequited love suddenly ends when he confesses his feelings. She should be elated, over the moon, lounging on cloud nine...but as she comes face-to-face with her fears from the past and Eli's playboy reputation catches up with him, can she fully trust her best friend to commit to her...or not?
