Amelia Aris lives in a city where clocks and their makers are practically royalty filled with flickering light bulbs, smoke, crime, cogs and clocks. With her mother gone, Grandpapa aging, and two younger brothers to care for, she has been part of the Underground for years. She's grown used to the danger, bosses, and twists and turns. But Mason Paille poses a different problem. He's a criminal, a thief tangled with the wrong people. He only adds to the mounting problems circling around Amelia, including her Grandpapa and a mysterious man, as she tries to navigate the world full of danger, mystery, crime, and love.
