zara and matt have been on-again/off-again ever
since freshman year year of college. most of their
time is spent in between sheets, but that's only
because ucla hockey star matt refuses to let zara
get emotionally attached. he doesn't commit and
zara knows that.

because of this, when zara, tired of the draining
repetitive cycle, decides to call things off with matt
for good, matt thinks she's bluffing. they always
come back to each other. they were friends first anyway.
however, he is in for a real treat when he discovers that
zara has moved on and is now in a relationship with
someone else. matt doesn't think zara has real feelings for
the guy. not after that 'i love you' he heard her whisper in his
ear one drunken night. matt is thinking she should end it. you
know, just so she doesn't hurt the poor guy.
