"So this is it?" Troyes shaky voice whispers. "Hell yeah, now go out there and sweep his feet off the ground!" Ethan encouraged with a smile. Troyes hands moved in frantic little movements as he straightened his tie before practically being pushed towards the double doors.
Ethan offered him one last smile and the doors swung open. The music was instantaneous as Troye took in the scene in front of him; the guests turning their heads to look at him, his dad smiling and joining him to walk by his side, and then, at last, Tyler. His face lit up in a bright smile at the sight of Tyler’s equally bright expression.
Troyes eyes were fixed on Tyler as he took his first steps, making his way up the floor, and he would have sworn that Tyler’s hand ran under his left eye at least once as if to wipe away a few stray tears. Of course, Troye couldn’t deny that he himself was on the verge of tears at the sight of his soon to be husband. He was totally paralyzed and counted on his dad to make sure he didn’t trip over anything as his mind was clouded by one thing and one thing only, did he read the letter?
~ As Tyler and Troye are preparing for their wedding, Troye finds himself looking back at their relationship more and more. He lies restless at night thinking about their first date and dozes off during conversations by the memory of the night they moved in together. Three weeks before the big day, he starts writing it all down in a letter, a letter dedicated to Tyler, to their love. He writes about the friend that brought them together, Tyler’s 30’th birthday and about being proposed to in bed at 3:30 in the afternoon, and then the morning of their wedding, Troye seals the last envelope and asks their mutual friend, Ethan, to bring the letter to Tyler. He needed him to know all the things he never told, needed him to know how he fell in love. ~
