Follow the adventures of AJ and her friends as they train and compete their ponies on the National Show Jumping circuit. Whether they have an unschooled pony and tack held together with duct tape, or a string of top-quality show jumpers, these girls all have one thing in common - a love for the sport, and a lot of love for their ponies.

FIRST FENCE is the first book in the Pony Jumper series, each of which will focus on a new character and will tie into the books that have gone before. Set in New Zealand, the series will incorporate information about training and riding show jumpers that will hopefully give help and guidance to readers, as well as each telling a great story!

Fifteen-year-old Kaylin Podmore has a pretty great life, basically everything a teenager living in Lexington, Kentucky could ever dream of. Her parents own one of the most successful Thoroughbred racehorse operations in the country and she has three of the best friends any girl could have, especially as her freshman year of high school starts to come to an end. She catches the eye of Lucas Mitchell, a sophomore starting quarterback for her school's varsity football team. As they learn about one another and grow closer, a potential serious relationship starts to grow between them, but her ex-boyfriend Jesse Landford, her older sister Kimberly and Lucas's ex-girlfriend, Nichole Young, are determined to try to keep them from getting together for different reasons. Kaylin knows Nichole is a stuck up spoiled rich girl, and she doesn't believe a word that Nichole says about her and Lucas, but her sister's another story. She and Kim know their dad isn't exactly keen on either of his daughters dating so it causes problems in-between them after Kim shares the news with their dad about her and Lucas's budding relationship. Other than their friends, the only people who seem to like the idea of Kaylin and Lucas potentially getting together are her mom and his family, who're all being supportive because they know each other from their kids going to school together and being in the same business, even if they're competitors. Her mom often has to settle disputes in-between her and her dad but that doesn't mean her dad is going to stop being negative about Kaylin's growing relationship with Lucas. Kaylin is set on finishing out the year, hopefully with Lucas as her boyfriend despite the trouble it is causing in her life to have a great summer with her friends and watching her favorite horse, Faith's Magic, start her racing career.

Riding is not just about winning, and that's something that Abigail Forestor has always prided herself in believing. Sure, winning is great, and why else spend ridiculous amounts of money on horse shows if not to win? However, it isn't until a new girl shows up on the circuit, a girl who starts effortlessly winning everything, that Abigail starts rethinking her previous beliefs. What she doesn't see, though, is that there's a fine line between love and hate, and that the path she's heading down will lead to some interesting discoveries about not only herself, but everyone around her.
