It was like everything happened in slow motion, I couldn't look away as the titan took ahold of her upper body as Kaa-san flailed in its hand and broke her upper half. I couldn't look away, in horror when it brought my mother to his mouth and slowly chomped her body. I looked in horror as I saw her blood mix into the wind.

The image of my mother getting eaten by that titan was etched into my mind like a broken record, repeating in my head like a movie in a loop. That day was the day that changed my goal from seeing the outside world to seeing every titan die in my hands, my hands shook as I felt extreme anger, hate, and excitement to kill titans. It was the day I vowed to avenge my mother. It was also the day that changed me.
