A young child is used to settle a debt. Many deemed her defective due to her inability to speak. But she didn't need to talk to get her job done. She trained diligently in hopes of seeing the world, even under the banner of corruption. She didn't care about any of the suffering she endured or caused. She was stronger than she appeared. But only a select few would know.

The first person who showed her genuine kindness was a little girl with blue hair and shockingly green eyes. The two were separated not long after meeting, but the green-eyed girl left a distinctive impression. And the defective girl couldn't help but think about her when feeling particularly lonely. She thought of looking for her again after she could traverse the criminal underworld alone. But it was strange. Blue wasn't an ordinary hair color, and green eyes were surprisingly rare, too. She couldn't find her. But while she couldn't find the girl, those distinctions did ensure she never forgot her. That was at least comforting.

Imagine her surprise when the world is thrust into chaos and a woman with the same eyes as that girl from her past catches her eye. She reminds her of that old missing comfort. The woman inspires her to use her training for good and to fight to protect the world alongside other heroes. This woman strikes such a deep impression that she can't help but think of her more often.

What she doesn't know is that this particular woman feels the same.

But little know they were saved instead. SHIELD, as they called themselves helped them realize that the things they thought they were was good, when they were bad. They struggled too trying to get over the bad in them. Trying to forgive themselves. One having an easier time of doing that of course. Veronica struggled with alcoholism and sleeping around. But they became the best of the best at SHIELD, well, besides Romanoff and Barton of course. Them being so good having an opportunity of joining the mightiest of them all. But joining that team made her reunite with the father that never wanted her. Will Veronica come to amends with her father? Will she get over her abuse of alcohol? Will she stop slutting around New York? Will she reunite with her long lost love? Or will she crash and burn into the failure she always seemed to feel like? She never thought she would ever meet anyone as egotistical as her brother, but boy was she wrong. She never wanted to be in the lime light like Tony, so she kept a quiet private life, even changed her surname, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She was only a few years old, when their parents died, and Tony didn't want her growing up in the spotlight, so he had her raised away from it all. Though she loved her brother dearly for giving her a safe, quiet life, she missed having that bond with him. That is until the day he announced himself as Iron-man and joined the group of misfits that called themselves heroes. She had worked at the local hospital, as a doctor in the ER, but was often called upon to fix up the idiots who didn't know how to take care of themselves. On one of her shifts, she comes across HIM. That smug, egocentric asshole trying to prove that he knew best, arguing with her about a patient, when she had lost it, and punched him in the face. *** Stephen Strange was a man who prided himself on being the best, and here was this woman, who was telling him how to do his job. She was infuriating, stubborn and a huge pain in his ass. After a public disagreement, that resulted in her suspension, when she hit him, he had found out that she was none other than Tony Starks sister. He attempts to make amends, by inviting her to the party in his honour, in hopes of showing the board that she was an asset to the hospital, when his life takes a turn for the worst, and an accident occurs. Both their worlds collide, seeking help from each other, but can they put their differences aside, or will it tear them apart?
