Summer 218 BC, It is the start of the Second Punic War and Praetor Amellius who has just arrived on the island of Sicily is faced with the terrifying task of holding the island against the inevitable attack of the Carthaginian navy. Gods of Death Want Life
Wrote part of this back in 2013. It is a companion to the canon and completed it Feb 2021 and EDITED better June 2021. Still not fully edited, but I loved reading it again and again. It's ending is supposed to be a cliff hanger to a potential spin off series I have been writing for years which follows the First Triumvirate, BEFORE Caesar becomes Dictator for life.
