the year is 2015, and a fresh new roster of pilots have arrived at Top Gun. From the get-go, Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw finds himself at odds with his classmate, Jake "Hangman" Seresin.

Eager to prove himself, Rooster sticks to his guns and makes a name for himself. he's good. really good. he refuses to make a mistake. mistakes get you killed.

Hangman, by contrast, seems to get by on natural talent and sheer arrogance alone. He is there at every turn, taunting Rooster, egging him on. striving for competition, while his adversary keeps a cool head.

Finding a friend in another classmate, Phoenix, Rooster tries to keep his head down. but Hangman is sometimes too loud to ignore. And Rooster gets the feeling there's more to the arrogant boy than meets the eye.
