Alek has lost everything: his friends, family, reputation, and chances of completing college. Homeless and directionless he lands in Knoxville, Tennessee. Trying to start a new life becomes difficult when he starts seeing shadows/apparitions. At first, he thinks he is becoming schizophrenic but he quickly learns that what he is seeing is something real and only a few know about these creatures.
